Head, Spinal column and kreuzbein are treated in particular. They form the Cranio Sacral system with the brain skins and the brain liquid (a normal body of an adult contains approx. 500ml of that brain liquid). The name "CRANIO SACRAL" is derived from the words Cranium (head) and Sacrum (germ: Kreuzbein).
It is noteworthy that this liquid undergoes a rhythmic pressure change - approx. 8-12 times per minute - recognisable as a pressure wave from the brain in the spinal marrow down to the sacrum. The head widens, the sacrum and the remaining body moves. These movements can be deducted by any skilled person and are defined as "Cranio Sacral rhythm".
Obviously we may detect a disturbance of this rhythm if that movement is handicapped by muscle spanning, glued connective tissues, inflammations, accidents or other illnesses. Each disturbance in the Cranio Sacral system can cause vague pain, movement disturbances and a multiplicity of other symptoms. Many health trouble, for which there is no schoolmedical assertion, can be explained by the Cranio Sacral therapy and often successfully treated.
The Cranio Mandibulare therapy directs at the handling of problems in the jaw-bone region and the associated pain within the area of the heading, neck, shoulders and backs. The deep Faszie coats muscles and internal organs and gives to the body its outline.
The third Faszie covers all internal organs and provides for their gliding ability. Normal movement and organ function are possible only by unimpaired functioning of all three layers of Faszies. By the linkage together also distant disturbances in other parts of the tissue e.g. scars or clueing together of body-tissues can lead to problems in other places in the body. The normal function of the fabric is re-created by special techniques for treating the muscles and tissues:
Muscles become softer, swelling decrease/go back and a normal relocability of the connective tissue occurs.
Trigger zone manipulation:By violation and false attitude trigger zones (triggers = trips) in the connective tissue and in the musculature are activated, which can be responsible for a multiplicity of pain problems. These trigger zones are gluing of muscle or single lines of the connective tissue, which have been formed over years. The cause for these gluing is still unknown, one is assumed that hereditary factors play a role. Already babies show such gluing.
Active trigger zones are spontaneously painful, latent trigger zones find one only on printing with an investigation. Also serious chronic pain problems can be eliminated by the handling of the active and latent trigger zones (relatively strong practice needed).
Irritation pain may occur with this handling, sometimes Haematomen (blue marks) will show off for approx. 3 days. This handling is arduous for the patient (strong pain during the handling) and the one in charge (high energy expenditure). However (frequently practice-rapid-end snaps!) the success counterbalances the pain felt during and after the handling!
Osteopathie of the joints and tapes:
Problems of the joints are most frequent at knee and shoulder - can be treated by handling the assigned tapes, muscles, faszien and connective tissues structures very carefully. It has to be said that such a handling may for a short period cause pain - it's worth it!
Spinal column these traction:
With the basis of osteopathic criteria in mind special "distraktionsmachines" have been developed. If proper applied it help on chronically shortened muscles but specially on connective tissues structures of the neck chest and spinal bones in the lower regions. Principle: Constant force is affected over a certain period. Particularly with the handling of disc incidents the distraction leads to a pressure decrease on that discs and the peripheral nerves.
